Dr. Susan Love and the Love/Avon Army of Women Tackle Breast Cancer

pink ribbonDr. Susan Love is raising an army to fight against breast cancer. When the army is one million women strong, Love believes they will be an unstoppable force in the battle to prevent this deadly disease. The aim is to move "beyond a cure" - stopping breast cancer before it starts.

Why is the army needed? As Dr. Love told Prime Time Radio's Mike Cuthbert, 70% of women who get breast cancer have no known risk factors for the disease. This means that only by studying women who get breast cancer, and others who seem to have some natural immunity, can the remaining risk factors be found.
